Statement of Faith - Page 2
Section 7. Perseverance of the Saints
We believe that all who have accepted God’s gift of salvation are kept by the power of God until they receive their glorified bodies at the rapture of the saints.
Section 8. The Rapture and Return of Christ
We believe in the personal , physical, imminent, pre-tribulational return of the Lord Jesus Christ for His Saints and in His pre-millennial return to the earth with His saints to rule the nations of the earth in peace for one thousand years.
Section 9. Interpretation of Scriptures
We believe that the Scriptures should be interpreted literally, that is, in the normal sense in
which the words are used. We believe that the whole of Scripture is completely consistent
with its parts and that its parts should be interpreted in light of the Scriptures as a whole.
Section 10. Ordinances
We believe in two ordinances of the Church given by the Lord Jesus Christ: water baptism
by immersion symbolizing our identification with the death, burial and resurrection of Christ
and the Lord’s Supper observed in remembrance of His sacrificial death until He comes.
Section 11. The Church
We believe that Jesus Christ instituted the church, which is composed of persons whom He
has saved, to whom He gives spiritual life, in whom He dwells.
The visible expression of this church is manifest by the local, autonomous assembly of
believers.
Section 12. Separation
We believe that all believers are called into a life of separation from all non-scriptural and worldly practices.
We believe, therefore, in ecclesiastical separation from:
1. National Council of Churches
2. World Council of Churches
3. Ecumenical Evangelism
4. Charismatic Movement
