WELCOME TO FSU's CAMPUS LIGHT MINISTRIES!
We are here to help college students on secular campuses have a place to learn about God and fellowship together. In the Fairmont State chapter, we meet every Tuesday at 12:30 - 1:20pm in room 103, Jaynes Hall to share fellowship with a Bible study, praises and prayer requests. We also provide free pizza so that you can have lunch between classes. If you ever have to leave early, it is not a problem. We know you are busy with your education!
Our topic for the semester is “Set Apart: The Upstream Christian in a Downstream World.” We will be discussing various topics relating to the Biblical command to “be holy as He is holy,” or to say, be “set apart” from the world unto God. We will eventually delve practically into the question of how to know right from wrong in questionable areas that are not directly addressed by Biblical commands. If we are going to be set apart, we have to know how to determine right from wrong! We invite each of you to join us for our weekly studies! We will also have periodic activities throughout the course of the year including weekend activities with the WVU Campus Light group, a 3 on 3 basketball tournament in late February, and a retreat to the Wilds Christian Camp in Brevard, NC on March 30-April 1.
Dave Greear is the campus pastor of the organization here at FSU and also at WVU. Please feel free to contact him at dgreear@comcast.net or 304-412-1136 if you have a need.
Our student president for 2011-2012 is Karen Gregor. She can be reached at n2soccer@frontier.net if you have any questions about Campus Light at FSU.
