President William Tate, Mrs. Tate, Sergeant Bryant Myers, and Senior Executive Assistant Alexa visited the Campus Light College Church mentors and student leaders this past Friday night (11/14).
What a surprise and honor that they would choose to spend their precious Friday evening hanging out with us.

We got to hear President Tate share his passion, heart, and vision for Rutgers University and its students; learn about his and Mrs. Tate’s life journey; and receive heartfelt wisdom and advice for our own lives.

What stood out to many of us was how relational and personal President Tate and Mrs. Tate were. They wanted to know everyone’s name, year, and major—or job, for our postgraduate members. They didn’t seem like they wanted to head home anytime soon, because they kept asking about our stories and genuinely connecting with us. We’re so thankful that our Rutgers leadership truly seems to want the good of its students and community.

What a treat it was for Campus Light to get to know them personally. It’s a memory our church and members won’t forget.
Thank you, President Tate and Mrs. Tate, for making this special visit!
Campus Light,
