Went home for the summer? Here's what we've been up to this summer!
Training & Serving
We've spent Friday nights getting sharper on praise, tech, and design so we're ready to go in the fall. Many who never tried guitar or videography all picked up new skills to get ready to serve!
We've also gone to the elderly care homes to keep up our relationship with the elderly we've been visiting and continue to love them with actions and God's word. One resident received Christ last month when we visited!! Praise the Lord!!
Retreat & Reunion
The mentors at Campus Light went to Acts2 Network's All Team Retreat at our Elgin campus in early July. Besides the strengthening fellowship time with our nearly 2000 ministry team members, we also had the privilege to hear from Dr. Bryan Loritts (teaching pastor at The Summit Church, Vice President of the SEND Network) as well as Paul Worcester (the national collegiate director for the North American Mission Board) for some challenging messages. Can't wait to go share the gospel on campus this Fall!!
On Sundays, our sister church in Philly (Story College Church) has been joining us for service! It's been great fellowship over God's word and sports together every week, especially soccer in light of the World Cup season this summer 😎
Kevin/Iokkei, Brian/Annie, Tony/Whitney, and Eddie/Sarah, who went to Taiwan and Indonesia for Foreign Mission for one year, have come to NJ to visit us before moving to their new church-planting locations! It was great fellowship with them to hear all that God has been doing abroad in those countries and also how God has been growing them through this mission experience. So thankful to have that time with them!
Looking forward to seeing everyone on campus soon!
